The T56's extra gear allow you to cruise around city limits @ 2k rpm/40mph. Hit the highway within the city limits @ 2k again only in 5th @ 65mph & then once out on an open stretch of interstate @ 2k & 70+ mph in 6th.

Ideal ratios but not the easiest swap option because of size & cost.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Yea. The attractiveness of the TKO is the ease of swap from a 4 speed setup. I did pick up a super clean Lt1 T56 for my next build though. W/a complete refresh I’ll only have a couple grand in it. So they can be had but absolutely much more work to get it in place and operational.

Yep.... And those LT1 sbc era T56's are not an easy score so finding one thats not trashed def helps the budget.
