What are you guys using for the backing?
I have the CST brackets on the bedsides, but how EXACTLY do they attach??? The brackets and the top of my bedsides don't look like they line up...if that makes any sense. #1 doesn't line up with #2 and #3....Do you put some kind of spacer behind the top lip of the panel?

Do you have the chrome strips that run along the tops of the side panels? They look similar to the ones for the door panels, but a lot longer...

I tore all that garbage out'a my CST when i stripped and re-finished(lined) the back) took out the brackets and i like it better as is

you need the long chrome strips that bouncy was talking about then you can use anything you want for backin I have seen masonite to nice 1/4 birch plywood stained and polyed. The brackets use a screw and the panels have an eyelet for protection just like the bottoms of your door panel screws have the panels also attach to the little bottom rail that sits on bed floor

VTblazer- Just wondering if the panel stops before the upright by the door, or covers it...(#3 in my pic)
I herculined that surface on my blazer, but am wondering if the panel will cover it, or stop at the chrome cargo panel holder edge. Thanks again

It goes all the way to the edge of # 3 and covers it up those holes closest to the door are for it

Does your backing have to be flexible enough to bend to cover that area(#3), or does it line up pretty good? I am going to get my panels done with black vinyl and some houndstooth that matches my seats, so I want to make sure it is right as it will be pretty spendy!

Here is a pic of what I want it to look sort of like- but black vinyl and blue/black houndstooth...Thanks again for the pics you are awesome!
