Re: Project: DIY '68

Truck still exists BTW. Got busy with moves, job, other hobbies, life, etc. Here are some things that have been done since the last update. Exhaust was completed and works well.Went with a hooker headers kit. Very easy to install. Installed a USB charging port where the cigarette lighter was originally. The wheels that are on the truck are some Jegs rally style wheels, 17x8 with stainless steel center cap. Put some 265/70/17 Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs on it that were leftover from my other truck. They're bigger then I would have preferred but they're round and paid for, as well have lots of tread left.
Ordered a pair of fleeting reproduction bedsides for it thru a local company(tried to support local business) but after waiting for 5.5 weeks, got a call back saying they were told the bedsides were out of stock for another 30 to 60 days. Called Jegs and with their amazing customer service, had the drivers bedside shipped the very next day and the passenger side was backordered about a month. Which is no big deal, at least I will have one side to work on. And their freight was a fraction of the price as anywhere else. Drivers bedside should be here this Friday. Also ordered an HEI distributor from them.
I'm sure I'm forgetting other updates, but those are the ones that come to mind from a 4 year break in posts..
Hoping to use this as a tool so I remember later on what I did and when I did it.
