GMC SPID sticker question

Did all GMC's have Glovebox SPID stickers from factory? I know a lot of the GMC's were a hit and miss with the frame rail vin stamping, so wasn't sure about the SPID Sticker.

I have seen a few for sale here and there and most do not seem to have a SPID sticker in glovebox, but could have been removed at some point.

Re: GMC SPID sticker question

A friend has a 68 GMC 3/4 ton 2wd, V6, 3spd on column. It does not have a SPID. I braved a few wasps to find that out....bummer.

Re: GMC SPID sticker question

I have been told by a few really down in the weeds details guys that GMC was hit and miss on the SPID sticker. My truck is a 68 GMC Custom and no SPID and no residue that there ever was a SPID on the glovebox door. It's clean enough to eat off of.

Ok, thats what I figured. I've been looking at a GMC that looks 100% rust and rot original and no sticker, so just wanted to verify. Thanks.

Re: GMC SPID sticker question

I have only seen hit and miss gmc SPIDs on 67 and 68s. I think they all had them from 69 and up.

Re: GMC SPID sticker question

My 67 Chevy was originally purchased by the state of IOWA and has no SPID. Maybe Fleets didn't have SPID
