Re: My 64 Project

Final outcome was far and away better than I could have expected. Not perfect by any means, but for never having done this before I'm very happy with it.

Re: My 64 Project

A few more progress updates: got the doors painted and hung. Also got the trim back on. Then started in on the bedsides. Had a buddy that does sheet metal French in my 59 caddy tail lights.

Re: My 64 Project

Once he got done with the tail lights, I figured it still needed more, so I went ahead and swapped out the wheel arches for a set off of a 61 bel air.

Re: My 64 Project

This truck has been kicking my ass today, so instead of fighting it more, I'll make another progress post. Got the bumper finally hung, but will need to brace the brackets due to a little more play than I would prefer. Also got the tail lights installed. Need to get them wired in now. Not sure what the deal is with the pictures. Anyone know if there's a way to rotate them once attached?

Re: My 64 Project

A few other odds and ends knocked out: hit the floor with some por15 to make sure its adequately sealed up before I throw a floor mat over it. Got a set of fog lights from a coworker and mounted them up. Not sure if they'll stay or wind up going on my other 66. Also finally got some of my white walls mounted up and on the truck. Changes the whole dynamic drastically and I absolutely love it! Also got some 6x9 brackets mounted in the cab so I can have some tunes once I finally am able to start cruising.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Thanks! They're 235/70/15s all around. Front rubs a bit on hard corners and dips, but otherwise they work pretty well.
