Vent window help

I need some help with vent windows on my 56, I have the original ones that are in place. The frame are mostly intact but they are both broken/ damaged at the hinge bolt on the bottom. I’d honestly like to just order some new ones ( at around 300 a piece) but I can’t find them anywhere. Has anyone ever successfully re welded the hinge bolt into the glass channel? Then replaced and rebuilt the glass and weather stripping? Anything helps tips, links, places to look.

Thanks

Re: Vent window help

Are the standard vendors saying they're out of stock? I've seen them listed at most.

Re: Vent window help

you are describing the same issue i had with m 58truk at the beginning of the project
also why truk has one piece windows

my vent windows were chrome, i didn't see a good way to fix them
gas brazing might help you, depending on how bad they are
