that yellow cabrio ford was built by my buddy i bet. he builds them in pleasant view, tn through chamber`s automotive. he used to own a boat co. (cheetah boats), he now works @ triton boats where i worked for 5 years. he`s a glass genius. i`ll have to get down there and check the blazer out if this cookout ever works out. congrats, that is one cherry ride.

sorry if i sound dumb but i have never worked on a 4wd truck our era but why does your cross member dip around the oil pan like this, is it because it is 4wd and the suspention doesnt bolt to it? just curious.
thanks

I Am No Expert, But I Do Know It Has To Do With The 4wd Suspension.

Making Only One Change, Cowl Hood, But I Am Keeping Oe Hood And
When I Have It Painted They Are Going To Piant Both Hoods, That
Way The Oe Will Match The Paint On The Rest Of The Truck, Since
It Will Be Garage Kept And Driven Very Little, I Hope, Thanks,

Have you taken the top off yet? The crossmember is specific to the 4X4 models. I am glad that everyone appreciates all the work that has gone into this Blazer to date. I know that it went to a great home and will be finished right. It is good to see all the pictures of it here, keep them coming and if you have any questions on what parts are what just post a pic and I will help out.

It is good to see that you scanned the pictures out of the album. I did all the work on the frame and suspension while the body was being plastic media blasted. The original zinc coating was still on the body after the media blasting. The body was beautiful right after the Plastic media Blasting, what little red you see on the metal is actually a sealer that was used at the factory after the zinc dip, it was hard as hell to get off before shooting everything in DP90 epoxy sealer which is water and chemical resistant. The body on that Blazer is one of the best I have seen even in Southern California.

Oh, forgot to mention that the dash is an original 1967 CST with a/c dash out of a donor truck. The stock dash was all cut up in the blazer, the only difference is that the Blazer dashes dont have a speaker grill at the windshield. The speaker on a Blazer is mounted to a bracket under the dash. This is why in the pictures with the body at the media both it doesnt have a dash in it and that is also why the dash is completely painted while the truck is not. I completely finished the dash before installation into the Blazer.
