Side marker lights

Does anyone make the deluxe side marker lights for a 1972 truck where the stainless trim will not fall off over time? I have a Blazer and a truck and both have come off and gone.

Good question, I have been battling that also with these after market S/M lights. The first one came off while I was washing it so I was able to JB Weld it back on, and has remained on. I just noticed the other day one on the opposite side fell off somewhere going down the road.

I replaced them about 2 years ago and did keep the ones I replaced, so I have extra SS rings to epoxy back on.

They seem to be held on by glue in about 4 spots and not very good at that.

Here is what I did. I took off the loose stainless steel trim rings and very lightly pinched the back of the rings ever so slightly, just enough so I had to very lightly force it back on the marker lenses. Never had one come loose yet. No glue or caulk or epoxy to squeeze out and mess up the side marker.

Not a lot of weight on them so my suggestion is a couple dabs of JB Weld and they will be there forever.

Mine did the same thing...it looked like someone had super glued them prior.
I bought new trim pieces from GMC Paul's
Pulled off all the old ones (that were still there) cleaned off all the glue that remained then I sanded them on a flat piece of metal until the entire raised surface cleaned up flat.... then I used a 2 part epoxy applied in a thin layer inside the trim....put the trim on and turned then upside down and put a small piece of metal to weight them down...
Epoxy said 5 minutes...I waited 24 hrs....tried to pull them off...could not
hopefully they will stay on now...?
