Did anyone ever figure out this anchor bolt that holds the wheel cylinder and goes through the backing plate threading into the spindle?

I experienced this with my 55 chevy wagon thank God they were not seized sorry I can't help maybe if we keep the thread alive someone can

Mine is longer and doesn’t have a nut as it threads into the Spindle.
