I don't recall ever seeing any chrome ones for a steel door panel.

Are you still wanting chrome? I have a very nice set of painted OEM ones with original paint.

Re: WTB 69-71 chrome interior door trim

They never made the metal door panel channels chrome , The chrome ones were used with padded door panels , Look at these pictures the chrome ones have a 5/16" gap for the metal panel to fit in the standard channels the gap is 1/4" Other than that they will both do the same job . They are 34" long .

It looks like the chrome ones are $20.00 less expensive than the paintable .

I have a set off my 71 Cheyenne I had rechromed last year & I ended up not using them, went with 72 door panels. They had vinyl covered door panels.

sounds like the ones for padded panels are different than steel panels per the thread above from grumpy old man.

Yes, they are a little different. I some painted ones & they are flat, al the chromes I have are v shaped & as grump old man said the painted ones have a 1/4” gap & the chrome ones are 5/16”. I do not think you will notice 1/16” of a inch. Do you know anyone you could get a used chrome one from to borrow to see what it looks like with steel door panels. I would try that to see if you really can tell a difference on how it looks before you buy something that isn’t what you are looking for

Re: WTB 69-71 chrome interior door trim

Original painted steel panel trim - No Chrome

Original padded panel Chrome trim

Reprodution Chrome trim .

If you want the orignal painted style trim chromed send an email with pictures of a tape measure showing the parts are 34" long to Electroplating of El paso .

I sent my black painted 67 vent windows to them and selected the Show chrome option and this is what they sent back . I'm happy with it ,

I'm building my own Black real leather interior so the reprodution trim will work for me .
