70-71 deluxe door panels

Had a question on 70-71 deluxe door panels. swapping over my steel 71 door panels to the deluxe panels. what holds the deluxe panels at the bottom of the door. my steel ones have 4 screws but i have seen pics of installed deluxe panels without screws. any help would be greatly appreciated.

They all have 4 screws on the bottom. (except 72) You will need to change your upper receiver also.

While we are on the topic of these 1970-71 deluxe CST/Cheyenne door panels, the reproduction deluxe door panels seem to have the woodgrain strip at the top. My original 1970 Blazer CST door panels did not have the woodgrain strip. The panel had a scroll pattern all the way around the panel like the example below:

The commonly available reproduction door panels:

Re: 70-71 deluxe door panels

nice looking truck. the door panels i purchased where from brothers with the wood grain you described. i have seen these panels mounted with out any screws showing on the bottom. i’m not sure if they glued plastic studs on the back or what the did. would you mind getting a close up of the bottom of your panel?

Those pics are from the net. On my 1970 Blazer, I am going with 1972 panels out of preference.
