Re: Oil Filler Ext. Tube

any idea if they work with a non-filler tube valve cover - meaning the special cut out to twist in a low rise filler cap. thanks!

Re: Oil Filler Ext. Tube

Yes they will work, you just need the grommet to put in the valve cover.

This filler came on all power brake equipped trucks in 71-72. The booster stuck out so far that is was difficult to get an oil can to the valve cover. Fairly rare piece that would have already sold 10-15 years ago. Unfortunately, the LS swap craze has turned lots of people away from original parts.

1969-70 K series had a similar setup, but with a metal twist on cap with a thick cork gasket.

Still available? Do you happen to have the bolt for the support as well?

my easy restoration and install, for the one I purchased last month. Caps and grommet to valve cover easy to find online or at local auto-part stores

Looks nice! Did you have to swap valve covers to one with a smooth hole for the rubber grommet or were you able to use the one with the "special cut out to twist in a low rise filler cap" as you mentioned in a post earlier in this thread?
