Checking interest in 75 K5

My trail truck "Dollar" is Probably going to be for sale very soon.
Make no mistake...this is a trail rig. It doesn't have a straight pannel on it. It however is Turn key. Throw in a tow strap and highlift and your ready to go wheeling.

75 Jimmy. Rust has been cut out and it's solid, not pretty but solid. Home built 6 point roll cage. Bucket seats in good shape except drivers has some small holes from welding boogers. Truck has had 3 point seat belts adapted to roll cage.

It has a 350 of unknow miles. It has great oil pressure. Runs pretty good. Needs valve guide seals. It's not to the point of smoking but it will mess with the plugs evey 5,000 miles or so. Uses a Quart every 1000 miles. It has HEI and Electric choke quad.

It's reliable. It drives to all trial rides. I would not thinmk twice about going on a several hundred mile trip in it. Everything has been rebuilt including front axle with new ball joints and TRE's ($500 worht of parts in a front end)

TH350 Tranny was rebuilt by me and has reman converter, all new seals, steels and clutches. Has a minor leak at the fill tub that I think I have fixed but not guaranteing it. It has about 20k on it.
Hayden Tranny temp gage and 19,000lb stack plate tranny cooler.

NP203. New chain and it has a Mile Marker Shaft replacement kit. THE GOOD set up. Here is the review on the product and this is the actual truck used in the review.
http://www.coloradok5.com/milemarkerpt.shtml
It also has a fairly new chain that has about 20k on it as well.

The thing is armored VERY well. 3/16 inch thick skid on the gas tank. the rockers are 4x4 3/16 wall and also serve as air storage tanks. Bumpers are 3/16 4x4 box with 3/4 inch mounting plates with clevis holes. Fron bumper is set up for Warn XD style winches.

Axles:
Front has 4.10 gears and a Lockright, Mile marker hubs.
Rear has 4.10 gears and Full case Detroit soft Locker. AZ Kicking Disc brake conversion using 77 Caddi calipers (Parking brake needs to be hooked up.

The truck has a custom barn door tail gate. The gat has a double Gerry can rack, High Lift mount and spare mount that will handle the 35 inch spare.

It has 35 inch BFG KM's with maybe 5k on them. They look new. Mounted on 10x15 Rock crawlers that are in nearly perfect condition. (about $1k)

OK Sony cassette Stereo with weather proof speakers (tweeter bad in left)
Rock lights.
Spares included are front axle shafts (stock), rear axle shaft, rear drive shaft.

New windsheild thanks to State Farm

This tuck is known so let me be very clear, the following is NOT included.
STC soft top (unless your willing to pay extra $400 new is $600)
Warn HS 9500i
Warn shafts and CTM's
My Recovery gear
Bosch Lights in grill
Storage gear/vbox

This stuff is going into my next project. Willing to sell it but it's extra.

Tires and wheels are included but will work with you if you want to lower price on vehicle. They will work on my replacement vehicle but I may go down to 33's on it. We can talk.

$4000.

I have way over that in it in just parts that I am leaving on it. You could not build it this cheap. You can prove it by looking up all the parts and figuring in the rebuild stuff like tranny.

Cool. Thanks. I'll try to get it up there today.

Man I wish I could keep it but it would just sit. I can't justify having it do that.

Yeah I know the feeling.

I really don't want to deal with parting it. Everbody PM's looking for the parts off it. I could make more or save more by parting it but I just don't have the time to do that. Plenty of parts would be useable under the next rig I plan to build. Hell I could put the axles under that rig no problem. THe wheels would already bolt on and they are the size I was planning on going with.

Making a list. Hat to do that but I'm sweating a job. If I get the pink slip I'll have some time.

Ok in two weeks after one last trail ride on the21st and 22nd I'm going to do a different approach. I'm going to basicly put the truck back mostly stock and sell the $4-5k worth of parts seperate and then I'll put the truck in the trader for $2k. I know I can unload it quick then but it will be witout all those parts in the top post.
So by mid oct the truck will probably be on 33's, loose a couple inches of lift. no Aux tranny cooler, no tranny temp gage, no shaft replacement kit (might be back fulltime or I have a 501 kit here but I could sell that for a few bucks), Hard top back on it, all aux lighting off it. Trying to find some cheap stock bumpers because I have people who want the custom bumpers, Stock 1975 rear springs and I'll sell the better 86 springs. Proably sell the skid plates off it and the hitch. Wish I had a set of stock fronts for it and I could sell the Ranchos too.

DO NOT START PMing me for what you want. I will delete this post at that time and start a new stripped K5 for sale post and a parts post.

What I don't want to happen is the truck become undrivable. But there is a TON of stuff that can be taken off before it gets there. I'll make the most money this way but have to work for it.

The reason for mentioning it here is to let anybody that's interested in the truck that can't afford the whole deal that I will work with them to get to a point where they want it. If you want the whole deal then you need to get with me VERY soon.

To start with I will be yanking out the ORD parts. I am going to put a set of cheap half wore out pepboys 33's on it on a set of wagon wheels. I think I will be keeping the 35's for my next project and even the lug pattern is the same.

Going to go to U-pull it and get a set of 3.08 axles as well. I can get $350 for that full case Detroit in the back without the axle. I can get $200 for that EZ in the front. I can put the rear Disc brakes on my new project. Anybody got a truck tail gate for cheap?

Got a line on axles now.

I'm autotradering it soon. Will take me a couple weeks to start gettign it stripped. This is the point I can start pulling parts off till it's a price you want to pay. If you have axle then bring them and we will install then and I'll take a big chunk off the price. Same with wheels and tires.

So it will hit the trader as a trun key trail rig and in a few weeks it will be more of a mall crawler.

If you want any of the goodies now is the time to buy it.
