wanted: 73-78 suburban

i'm lookin for a shell w/ title for a 73-80 burb. can be wrecked, rusted, stripped, just need CHEAP. MUST HAVE A TITLE

we parted an 85 a while back and have all the bolt on stuff, frame, doors, glass, patch panels, but no main body, and wanna throw together a plow truck beater.

must be a 73-80 as any newer would require me to pass emissions, and i have a big caddy motor that would never pass.

Why dont you do what i did? 80burb 3/4 4x4 frame,86 pickup cab,83 front end,90 burb 454,9 ft.flatbed ,2002 dually rear geared 4.10 and will pull or push anything in its way. Give me your e-mail and i can show you a pic of it. A pickup donor would be alot easier to find. I got my 86 cab on here for $200.

i have a pickup donor already, a whole 85 C10, but i'd rather get a burb so i could use it as a mobile storage shed as well. i have all the glass, doors, and everything else that makes a burb more than a truck.

I have a 80 gmc 3/4 4x4 body tub that is not too bad rusty. It has darn doors on it now but was a tailgate burb. i need the rear doors and the barn doors off this but you can get the front doors with it. I have a 89 body thats like new to put on the 4x4 frame. I am getting ready to take this body off and if you can and have someway of hauling it .I can get it ready. This has a gvw of 8,600 lbs and was a big block 454 so it had no emmisions. no converters. I dont have a title for it though. $100. for the tub if you come get it. I am in western n.c. about one hour south of bristol tenn. It is also a big hump floor setup for 4x4. good windshield and blacked out rear glass. I might let the rear side doors go too. does it not have a title cause of some NC state thing about titles for old vehicles or was it lost along the way? ohio needs a title for everything. might be able to fit it on my trailer

Brother has about a 90 sub previously a diesel, now a without, Texas rust free, but also texas dented. Charcoal, with cloth, no motor trans, was a Diesel 700R. It is very clean but does have dents. The only rust is surface where the charcoal has peeled on the roof. It is 2wd not 4wd.

Its not because of age there is no title. I had to use it to tag my truck i built. They had titled it a 80 2500 gmc truck on the title so i was able to tag my truck. I know a junkyard in tenn. that might be able to help with a older title for one.

bisquick - thanks for the pics but i need one with a title - and that matches the body vin #. cause ohio does an out of state inspection once i try to get plates, so the vin and title need to match, i cant just get a body then get a title from another and try to register it because of the inspection.

i upped my search to 1980 cause jan1, 80's will be exempt as well and i can get a temp tag to get me through to next year if i find one and toss it together before the end of this year. i thought we were at 26 years but we're at 25 for emissions.
