Re: air bag kit!

if you dont wanna spend a bunch of money stay away from Nathans kit. Both front and rear you would be looking close to 3-4 grand to have it all finished

Then you need skills & tools (or be gooooood friends w/people that have them) or the right mind-set to learn as you go & do it yourself (definitely not a 'bolt-in' for a rookie).

A bolt-in kit that lays the rails is pricey; but all the engineering is thought through & it's a matter of following assembly directions (great for the novice builder) while still doing the brunt of work on your own. In the end, it's comparable or cheaper vs. paying a shop for the same mod's.

A 'bolt-on' 6/8 drop is do-able on a 'budget' w/the parts listed earlier in the thread.

This is about the same drop. Bags bolted in place of coils, lowering blocks out back, shock relocators, bolt-in c-notch, & adjustable Panhard bar. The rear housing hits the bed floor @ that height when you encounter big bumps in the road.

Re: air bag kit!

If you dont want to pay so much for the re7's go with no less then the 2600 dominator. You can find good deals on stuff on ebay, but I wouldn't buy any bags on there really, lot of companys say they are re7's or dominators, but they aren't. thats why they are cheap

How much?
The lower you go,... the more it costs.

You'd need more than a bolt in notch. That's as far as you'll get w/o cutting the frame & welding in a step-notch.

Re: air bag kit!

That's what you have to do for the rear.

The front either your going to have to Z the frame, Section your crossmember, or buy a SD or PB crossmember. The most you will be able to lay is the bottom of the crossmember and the control arms.

Re: air bag kit!

It's a lot of work to get them to lay out, but it's well worth it.

Here are some pics of Nathan's newest kit I just bought. It's an awesome setup. I can't wait to get it installed. But, like you said, you don't want to spend too much money and it ain't cheap. Nevertheless, it is well worth the money though. See the link below of my post with dropmember pics.

Depends on tire size with a bolt in c-notch and drop spindles.

This is with 225-60-15s, c-notch, 1.5" blocks and 1.5" drop spindles:

Re: air bag kit!

I think it's the same setup with the exception of the rear track bar. The CPP bar allowed a little more rear drop on the pass side than the ECE with a notch.

What are you trying to say here?

Here's a good c-notch tech article.
http://www.classicperform.com/tech_a...ch/c-notch.htm

You can use a sawzall, plasma cutter or die grinder, (with a cut-off wheel), to cut out your notch.

The factory rear bump stops are long gone when you want to get that low.
