Re: just an old truck I got in a trade

What im working on tonite.
getting my front calipers and pads mounted up.
In the process.... I went to take off the wheels and noticed they didnt turn when I jacked the fron up. Well apparently the wheels hit the lower a arms and I failed to notice it when I mountes the wheels on the other day. Talked to a couple people who have done the 2 1/2 drop spindles and they say it is pretty common. So ill be doing some grinding on the a arms to clear the rims. Wish I would have known that before I painted the a arms and put them back on the frame though.
Oh and the parts house give me the wrong brake lines for the front lol

I started out just replacing a rusted out brake line. During that process i broke the fuel line due to rust. Then learned most of my truck was rust. So... almost a year and a half later I finally start driving it. I'm not finished by a long shot but at least it's usable and has alot less rust.

Re: just an old truck I got in a trade

Maybe some disc breaks. Since the p.o. swapped in the 12 bolt axle and it has the 2 3/4 shoes on it for the hd brakes and the truck has jb3 brake system on the rest of it.

Turned out pretty good.
I thought the grease fittings would help keep it quiet later on
