Re: What have I got here?

nah... people swap to 67 68 front clips all the time. it still looks like a good truck to me so im thinkn then that its a chevy chasis and body with the optional leaf spring. i was thinking 71 because i didnt see a rear view mirror mount on the windshield. but too...... the cab mounts arent original either

Re: What have I got here?

The cab mounts on the frame look original to me but the bushings are not right on the bottom at least. Are you thinking the frame pads aren't right?

Can't tell from the picture, but is the gap between the cab and the bed irregular, if so how so? Are there any core support mounts, and does the cab seem to be raked toward the front?

Take a pic of the Vin tag and SPID Decal on the inside of the Glove box door
Also take a pic of the rear view mirror mount

There may be a build sheet in the back of the seat inside the springs

Doesn't look irregular to,me. The cab mounts are questionable as far as the correct ones.

No glove box door in the truck. I will be checking tomorrow to see if the frame vin matches the cab vin tag. I am closer to believing it is a 71 truck with a 68 clip. Probably put the 68 vin tag on it but I don't know that yet.
