Will you have to put some type of heat shield on the bed floor to keep the bed from becoming a BBQ smoker with the exhaust so close to the bed floor? I know you will have to raise the bed floor tho right?

The bottom of the floor should be about 9" away from the mufflers, it will be alittle closer to the pipes, but they shouldn't get very hot....I hope...haha..

I waited forever to get my gas pedal and brake pad delivered. Finally got to install it tonight. A real test drive tomorrow.

Changed out the air cleaner, and went for a short test ride up the street. Had my boy video it with my phone, haha..the video bounces around as he's walking. Made me dizzy watching.lol..truck is running hot. I'm gonna change out the thermostat to see if that's the problem. Pipes are deffinately too loud, need to change out the mufflers. That sucks! I'll try and get a video up tomorrow. I have to figure out how to post it..anyone who's done it before, I'd appreciate any info.

Thanks for the cool comments, Saturday i changed out the cab mounts and core support mounts, removed my old gas tank out of the cab and installed the seat i plan on using. Its a full bench from a 1994 chevy pickup with an arm rest. Once i get the truck running right, i'll start reupholstery on the interior.

I forgot to mention my second test drive.....took the truck up the street, kind sucks down the block i live in, we have speed bumbs every 600'. Lucky for me i wasn't going fast, my steering wheel started spinning freely, the pad between the steering rod and the gear box ripped, just held on with the skin of the rubber pad and one bolt. More to fix today!

Starting on the interior today, filled the floor shifter hole, layed down some ultra sound, sound deadener, and some carpet padding, I'll put the carpet in tomorrow.

looking good man!!! i havent replaced that steering rubber on my truck either.. after seeing what happened to yours im gonna do it for sure before i start driving mine.. glad u didnt wreck that sweet ride!!!!

Thanks man, after going back and figuring what happened to that lag joint, I believe it stretched back some after I put new cab bushings in. The steering rod pulled back about 3/4". I took everything loose again and reset the correct position. All's good. Dude I'm driving my bucket by this weekend..lol
