Dan, she looks great. I really like the color. What kind of mirrors are you going to go with? I like the black rims too. Are you going to repaint the hubcaps back up with the black star, black circle and blue Bow Tie? Beautiful Truck, I am glad you posted it.

Very nice! Anymore pics? It must be cool to be able to paint outside! It is too windy here to ever try that.

Re: Longhorn Club ??

I had a dark green 71 longhorn 402 auto PS PB that I stupidly sold some years ago. I had a good sized Camper on it and pulled my boat. It was a great tow vehicle. I bought it from the original owner who also had a camper on it so it wasn't used in our salty winters. I'm going to see if I can find some regular photos of it and scan them in. Been a lot of years and it was a great truck.

I have a couple of sets of sport mirrors, I'll probably put those on. That picture actually makes it look better than it is. If someone is looking for the factory camper mirrors, I'm gonna sell the ones that were on it - I'll post them over in parts tonite.

I like the color. Full metal floor is awesome. I am staying with wood, just don't know if I want to paint the wood the color of the truck or make it wood looking natural look. I look forward to the finished pictures when she is up and rocken for ya.

Thanks for the comments, I wanted to relocate gas tank eventually...
I used a trailer fender from Northern Tool, flipped it up side down and sat her down in there. Eventually will put bracket on side to bolt it up to...

That black on the grill looks awesome!!!!! I am partial to that for some reason. I use to go for the chrome look, now it is the black, work truck look. Some trucks and cars these days just seem to be over done with the chrome trim look.

Re: Longhorn Club ??

They came off of my 76 chevy project. They are Rough Country 6" springs. I would really like to find a set of 4" so I can still haul a gooseneck with it.

Re: Longhorn Club ??

I'll throw mine on here. Not done yet. With this economy I went back to school. The Longhorn is on hold again. However it's getting closer. If I find somewhere to dig up another 5k before next summer I'll have it done. If not..... it'll be there for the next year.

There has been quite a bit done since these pictures but they were the only ones I could find on photobucket. It drives in and out of the shop right now.

the last things to finish are:
**figure out the filler neck issue im running into for the blazer tank right now. I had it figured out until I decided to remove the body lift at the last minute while it was at the paint shop. (wish I would have figured it out before paint)
**need to move the rear end 2" fwd (somehow my measurements were off on that only when I built the frame)
**rear driveline
**wheels/tires
**shocks (and shock hoops)
**steering wheel
**rear bumper
**then figure out what the heck im going to do about mirrors.

that should be about it.
