Si, knock the heads off the carriage bolts, then weld them into the top plate. That'll allow me to unbolt from the braces if I ever need to remove the bed.

License plate pocket. I wanted it to be as tight as possible around the license, rather than the typical squared-corner. It's pretty shallow, and will have a high-brightness white LED on the top to cover the required lighting.

A few more pics. Still having lots of trouble getting these back corners right. While it'd be nice to do a huge roll on them, it's not completely feasible because of the taillight mounting requirements. So I'm trying to get some major curvature on the corner area to mimic the like corner of the step fender. Time for the sandbag and mallet

This shows a rough representation of the taillights location. Since they're so low (as is the license box), it's not a simple matter to just roll the bottom edge around.

If you had an extra set of rear fenders, you could cut the corners off of them and use to make the edge.

I could move the lights up, but the plate really won't fit anywhere else and still look right. If I moved the lights up, I could do a long bend up on the sides of the tail end, but I don't want it looking like this...

XXL, the lines look to be identical to the fender corners which makes a huge difference. Nice vision as always!

what I'd like to do:

The top edge of bed side/ ends will have chrome cap found on 57 chevs.( kindof looking like fins from the side.
* each end of side bed will look like a fin treatment found on the 57's,
i should have added a roll pan to my illustration.
