I believe it should be "3100"

Re: mylow53 build

Yep, Jeff (Lextech) is correct. there is a 3100 emblem that goes there but it shows to be a 51/52 item and not a 53 item. http://www.fredstruckparts.com/ShowI...Fasteners.aspx

The proper 53 emblem shows to be this one which also fits 54.
http://www.fredstruckparts.com/ShowI...Fasteners.aspx

I went out and looked at my spare hoods and one of them has the Chevrolet emblem with the small 3100 below it in proper position for the small holes in your hood.

Re: mylow53 build

it's supposed to be thrift master for the 53" but since i'm spending so much on this build i didn't think that was appropriate. so i went with chevrolet. thanks guys ill get the 3100 emblem. i was so worried that i forgot to fill in those holes..
in other news brad has painted the frame and i should get the rest of the truck soon

Greg,
What size are the ralley wheels in the background? What is their fate with the billet wheels on the pick up now?

Re: mylow53 build

I made the same mistake after I had it all glued down !!!!!!!!
I think the one you want is the soft one, and I still get some air leak, but I have electric motor to operate it and I don't think it is pulling it down evenly.

I cant tell for sure, but it looks like you have the foam seal. I used the rubber one & it fits & seals very well. You might try the rubber seal before you glue.

I bought the rubber seal from "Steele Rubber". It is rounded on the top side where it seals to the vent "lid"
