Is This Part Reproduced?

Working on getting a complete heater setup together and started on the exterior box, fan, heater core. Using two complete systems (thanks again Boog) I’ve got about everything except the fan section here. Both rusted badly but in different areas. A quick internet search for a replacement didn’t come up with anything.

Does anyone know if this piece is available and where?

is there a part number anywhere on it? could you cut and patch the better of the 2? its just sheet metal. you can manipulate it pretty easily

I will check and see. Surely there is as GM pretty much has a part number on everything.

Your suggestion was actually my "out" on this one. The section in the better one can be cut out and that section on the bad one is actually good. A little surgery and I'd have something useable.

I'm pretty sure it is not reproduced. Best bet would be to find someone to sell you a used heater box, or have them take off the part you need and send only that.

That is a pretty commonly rusted out part.

Thanks, Dan. Looks like I'll try to repair what I have and then go searching for a good one if I am unsuccessful.

Re: Is This Part Reproduced?

I couldn't find that part on my A/C truck so I just fixed the one I had. The only hard part was the little bend or channel in it by the door.

67C10step,
I removed my heater box from my 67 cab. I can throw this heater box in the mail for you if you need. I’m going with a Vintage Air heater box in the cab to replace it.

Thank you. I may be getting back with you, Mustang Shooter (Dan) may be fixing me up but if I bungle what he sends me I'll certainly be back in touch. Gotta get all this back together to stay on track for road worthy by May.
