Re: aluminum radiators and mounts

I bought that radiator from them back in June. Very good radiator for the price. Im using a dual fan setup and it keeps my temp pretty steady. The only thing I had to do was get new smaller mounts (3 row) and rubber. But other than that, perfect fit and performance!!! I highly recommend.

Re: aluminum radiators and mounts

I have the regular radiator now and was wondering what radiator mounts I might need to install this. I ordered it last week and just waiting on some shipping info. Hopefully it is on the way.
i think Ill use my stock fan for a few weeks before I go to electrical fans. Hopefully I can find a good shroud system with electrical fans that will fit it.

Re: aluminum radiators and mounts

The upper hose already had the extension, I tried to find a longer one but the parts houses around here can only look up in a computer, very frustrating.

My truck still had the original 6 radiator which was a little longer. I drilled out the rivets in the bottom mount and moved it and little pop riveted it back in.

So it uses the smaller core mounts and not the 4 core mounts, correct? That would be great for me as I would not have to change anything.

are the small mounts 2 or 3 core mounts? do you think the guy that makes these will make it to fit the 4 core mounts?

Re: aluminum radiators and mounts

I used the smaller mounts that were on the original 6cyl radiator. I just had to move one in a little.

My understanding is the 2 and 3 core used the same and the 4 core was different. This is because the mounts don't actually hit the core itself but the side tanks. I think the 2 and 3 cores use the same side tanks. The 4 core used larger tank because the core wouldn't fit the 2/3 core versions.

Re: aluminum radiators and mounts

Here's a few pics of my entropy rad I installed today. I used my 4 core rad mounts...had to shorten them. I had to trim the new lower rubber inserts to get the rad to sit at the right height. Pretty easy install overall.

Re: aluminum radiators and mounts

Nice!!!

If you had to shorten your 4 core mounts, sounds like the 2/3 core mounts sould work perfect. Can't wait to get to the point of installing mine...

Re: aluminum radiators and mounts

The fans are Spal units...they were part of the deal with the radiator. I have to say the radiator and fans/shroud are very, very well built. I also went ahead and got the fan relay/harness assembly as well from Entropy.

Install looks great. Was this the radiator from the first link you posted or the Entropy one?
