you can use "BONAMI" that you can get in most grocery stores..and make it a paste...Use a terry cloth make a paste..and buff it out,

If they are deeper scratches..Eastwood sells "Rhodite" that will really clean up the whole thing good.

Re: Scratch Marks In Windshield

besst for deeper scratching and pitting is to replace windshield
alot of the home repairs leave visual distortion anduneven glass surface making wipers ineffective

bonami is so fine..it will not scratch the glass,it will clean it...Then go over with glass cleaner..

The 1955 chevy's with a 265 V8 used oil ,bypassing the rings..when they were new..Chevy's fix was runs motor around 2,000 rpm...pour a teaspoon of bonami down the carb...3 times...And it would reseal the rings to stop it from burning oil...Yes good stuff..

worked on an old 76 ford 390 that smoked bad...I used quite a bit of it...fixed it..And the truck left here..don't use oil now..

Re: Scratch Marks In Windshield

There are windshield buffing products out there. Most of them are a cream base and use a foam buffer. I have never tried it and when I looked at it, the cost of a new windshield was worth the effort vice using up all of my time. I found a lot of other things to do instead of trying to buff the windshield and then be POd at the finish on it, when the weather got cold and I had to use the wipers.
