07 Avalanche, Aluminum Lower A Control arms to Steel arms?

Anyone know the compatability of the newer GM trucks and lower control arms?

I have a 07 Avalanche with bad lower ball joints, which requires a complete new lower control arm to get the new ball joint

Do the 08 and up chevy 4x4's has cast or aluminum lower A Arms?

I was wondering if i could swap them out for a set of cast iron Lower arms, or some sort of lower control arm with a replacable ball joint. maybe aftermarket???

the Avalanche has struts and coil springs.

thanks if you have done this before

Do your originals have grease fittings? Usually the Moog replacements will have a grease fitting which will greatly extend the life. I was looking at Oreilly's site and they list an aluminum and a steel lower arm.

for anyones info, the steel arms are cheaper than the aluminum arms and they are direct fit into anything with an aluminum arm
