Corvette or Cadillac would most likely work for you

I just cut the ears off the bellhousing. I do that on EVERY 4L80 I install. Makes routing stuff so much easier, and those ears are only used to hold on the dust cover, which I also don't install.

Yeah, I thought about cutting them off, but the cover is cast aluminum and really finishes off the underside of the transmission, so I don't really want to do that. I have a set of F body manifolds that will fit with very minor trimming of the frame, but I guess I'm really just looking for a good excuse to buy a set of high dollar headers.

What are you looking at for "high dollar" exhaust, besides stock is there any other cast aftermarket ones?

5th generation Camaro manifolds exit straight down and fit the block pretty closely. I'd expect they'd work with a 4L80E, too. That's what I'm using, although I have a TH350.

Re: What exhaust are you guys running with your swap?

I want headers on my truck, but have those damn CPP tubular mounts which don't allow anything but the Doug Thorley tri y's. Would you all recommend I just swap the tubular perches for a set of their sheet metal perches or just get some ECE mounts?

Re: What exhaust are you guys running with your swap?

If you don't mind the short tubes...Hooker street rod short/tight tuck? IFRC, 225 on the painted headers, & 90 on the mandrel bent /stainless down tubes (cut/weld to fit)? The long tube try -y's will be the best on performance. I my build, I needed the shorties to clear the gen I clutch linkage. Longhorn

Here is a picture of the Cadillac CTS manifold. For 47-53 Chevy trucks Camaro doesn't work.
