Skyjacker - 4"

I have a Skyjacker 4" lift on my '89 CCSB that I bought through 4wheelparts. I have another thread I posted yesterday about the factory rear shock mount holes on the frame, but I think I've got it figured out. It seems like the shocks in the kit are too short. At any rate, I called Skyjacker today to get some input from them and the guy I talked to said they never made a 4" kit for an 8 lug axled vehicle. He said they make one for a 6 lug 3/4 ton. I'm baffled. 3/4 ton and half ton springs can't be the same length right? Did a 6 lug 3/4 ton ever even exist??

What length of shocks have you guys with 4" lifts used? These have a strok from about 18" to 27". As a side, this is a 9.5" 14 bolt rear end so the shock mounts to the outside of the frame. I also presume there may have been a lighter duty frame that matched this style of vehicle because it doesn't look like there ever was a shock mount on the insides of the frame like the 10.5" 14 bolt rear end had.
