Thanks for the welcome OrrieG, Rust is a huge issue up here. I lucked out when I stumbled across this one. I have been following your build thread and It looks like you are doing a great job. I actually have a few questions for you but I dont want to mess up this thead so I will ask them on your build thread. Thanks again

I can't speak for 1sik52, but I have no problem with someone else using the same color. A guy I know were I live is building a 67 pro street long bed. He liked the color of my truck, but as he said, "I didn't want to copy it" and that I might get upset. I told him, hey I don't own that color and if anything, someone else wanting the same color just mean I made the right choice. So paint yours prowler orange, it's okay with me.

Thanks for the feedback. If my truck turns out half as well as yours I will be a happy man. Reading your build thread was like reading a good book (literally) with a great ending. Now im waiting for a sequel!! Come on man start another build!! Or better yet come to Alaska and build mine. You built a low one, come and build a high one!! I know some good fishin spots. haha
I will definitley post some pics when I get started and I pick a color. If I ever make up my mind... I feel a coin flip coming on.....

Thanks, Your truck is another source of inspiration. The tires are 305/70/16BFG A/T's. I think they are about 33".
Im not sure if I like the look of the 16" wheel. Im kinda partial to the look of the 15" wheels on the big tires. Are you runnin 16's? They look good. I might have to change my way of thinking.

I would love to start a new build, but the bank went dry on this one. If I were to do somthing it would be a rat rod of some sort. I like the fact you can build somthing cool with out having to dump a bunch of money into it.

I'll add my 1st 55 to the mix with some new goodies this summer.
New radiator , electric fan , Vintage air , 290 hp crate engine , performance Th 350 trans , Sanderson headers , and a reconfigured steering shaft.
Anybody got some gas money?

Chrome won't get you home, but it sure does look nice! At least you're getting use out of your pick up. I have an extremely expensive paper wieght in my garage. I say drive it(with or without chrome)!

Oh trust me....I've been driving the tires off it. Went to Hickory NC this past weekend (about 2 1/2 hours one way). Froze my toes off due to a couple holes I forgot to plug up. But other than leaking a little oil around the intake I had no problems. Loved all the thumbs up I was getting while driving it down there. It's an awesome feeling getting thumbs up from old and young people and the weird looks are priceless

I'm new here, wished I would have found this site a few years ago. Lots of great info, and some great trucks. Just finished bolting mine together, still needs interior, wheels, tires and rear bumper.

Re: Post pics of your 47-59 Chevy trucks!

There seemed to be a slight shortage of task force trucks being pictured so here's a couple of shots of mine. I was starting to get the urge to go get that '52 project I've been eyeballing lately. And welcome to the site bigg4104.. It looks like you'll fit right in.

Great looking trucks here; good work guys!
However I don't know how to post pictures directly to the forum. Can someone fill me in on this?
