Re: Show your motor...

I heard it run tonight for the very first time, 405hp/441ft-lb Blueprint 383, it was a real treat to hear it roar after the time that it has taken me to get this far with the build.

1.5 years ago...the old leaky 307 that now sits in my garage destined for craigslist...

After countless hours of time on the internet, planning, trial and error, blood, and sweat. Tears might come when I actually drive it for the second time since I bought it...

Time to finish the exhaust, brakes and suspension - all with the goal of having it rolling before summer!

Re: Show your motor...

Thanks Beatcoaster!

That is one sweet motor! It's my weekend to detail the engine compartment. The hints will help out a bunch. I'm guessing it won't look that pretty but someday . . .

BTW is that an ammeter on the hot side of your battery?

58cc heads? Would that be the iron 305 jobbers with the 1.84 valves?

Re: Show your motor...

Yeah...it's a 305 TPI. Definitely a form over function motor. But it runs well...now, and makes the truck fun to drive.

IMHO the TPI motors are the best looking EFI motors around, although they have been surpassed in performance by the LT1 and LS1 chevy motors......................they do great in trucks however because of their broad torque curve.
