Spring Spacer??
I need to lift the front of my truck about 1 inch. what do ya'll reccomend for this. i would rather not buy new springs but i don't want it to hurt the ride quality. Any suggestions?? Thanks

look on ebay for those 1" spring pads. They sit on the bottom of your control arm and raise the spring up about an inch or so. I dont know how safe they are but its an inexpensive fix.

be careful the spring pad maybe 1" if it is soft enough it may give enough, but a solid spacer will provide more lift than that. a 3/4" spacer will provide a couple inches of lift due to suspension geometry. if the 1" spacer was directly above the spindle the closer to 1" it would be, the closer to the pivot the more lift it is.

The spacer I used is 1 1/2", I got about 2 1/2" out of it. The only problem is you gain compresion but loose rebound. Something has to give. Going over bumps is no problem but when you hit a pot hole it's bang city. I also found that the 3/4t springs don't compress enough to get the spacer in, I had to go back to my 1/2t set.

Any one heard of or used the twist in spring boosters from mr. gasket. they are only six bucks so i was going to try them and see if they help.

if they just twist in... whats to say they wont just twist out? i dont know never used them..

Well i used the 1 inch pads and they worked out great. got my inch in the front and she still rides smooth. thanks for the replies

I got them at this hot rod shop here in abilene! they were free because they pulled them off another truck
