need clamshell doors 64 suburban - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

need a set of clam shell doors and associated hardware to change my 64 suburban from barn doors to clamshell. Can anyone help me with parts?

HEY OLD METAL......................WHEN YOU CHANGE A 60-66 SUBURBAN FROM BARN DOORS TO THE LIFT GATE YOU WILL ALSO NEED TO CHANGE THE REAR VALANCE PANEL TO ACCEPT THE HINGES FOR THE LOWER GATE.................I HAVE A 62 THAT I CHANGED OVER AND HAD TO DO THE SAME THING TO.............IN THE SEPTEMBER ISSUE OF THE TRUCK ROUND-UP MAGAZINE THERE IS AN AD FOR WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR.................HE'S LOCATED IN BABYLON, NEW YORK...............E-MAIL ADDRESS IS aws12@msn.com PHONE #631-661-1545............HE'S ASKING $450.00........................HOPE THIS HELPS............HEMMIT

Located in Michigan. The 64 GMC suburban I just picked up had clamshells on it and the previous owner got rid of them and installed barn doors. The hinge mountings are all there.....just need the parts to put it back.

old metal.................i have almost everything you need........the upper and lower hindges.............top and bottom gates................i think the only thing i'm missing is one of the upper door stops..............i might be interested in a trade for your barn doors........lets talk................along with my 65 burb i also have a 62....................it came with barn doors but was switched ........................hemmit
