Looks excellent! I may have even changed my mind about preferring '71-72s over '67-68s. We need more pics!

Thanks guys, it feels great to have it back and working on it!! I finished lowering the front today so I thought I'd take a side view picture to see how big of a change 4 inches makes. It's awesome, the hood barely comes up to my hip now!!

Thanks for the bumper comments, I was a little scared when I bought it having never seen one on these trucks before, but I figured I always love Driving/fog lights in almost every car I've seen so why not.

Well, I guess it's on to the rear!!

Here's a quick one of the dash/interior right after I got it back. Looks much nicer now that I've got most of the stuff in the dash. Have to get a shot next time I roll it out, it's up on stands now....working on puttin' the bags in!

LOOKS GREAT!!!

I'm finally starting my '72, getting it running first and planning on doing similar as you are - but as a rolling restro, getting mechanicals done first, then tackling the body/paint.

Keep the pics coming as you progress - definately keeps me motivated.

What made you decide on the bags versus lowered shocks/springs & sway bars with the 4" drop???

When you do get all the suspension done, let us know how it rides.

KEEP IT UP!

lolife99.........Not sure what wheels I'm going to use yet, I'm looking at Budnik's Hammer style, but haven't seen them in person to know the actuall finish look.

WyoChevyJoe.....I went with spindles, springs, and shocks on the front, and 'bags and shocks on the back (which I'm half way through the install on). I decided to go that route partly for price, which might sound kinda funny 'cause there are cheaper ways to go about it. I plan to go bags all around at some point, but that may be a year or two, so I thought I would go with the bags in the rear from early classics and go without a compressor and stuff until I go bags on all four. I'm not looking to change the height much or at all, just want it low, nice ride, and ability to upgrade quickly and easily and set the ride height without being locked into one height. Later I can just add the bags to the front with whatever compressor system I feel like, so the only thing I'll have to replace in the front is the springs which I figure I can probably sell when that time comes. Also, there is part of me that just wanted SOME air bags now!!! Just for the cool factor! I got everything from ECE because I had read many accounts on this website of how complete the kits come and how helpful everyone is. So, I called them up a few different time, asked a lot of questions, then made the purchase. The stuff is really nice and high quality, and they've been very helpful. Again, not the cheapest for a guy looking to watch the budget, put it pays of for me in not having to run around getting the right stuff, it all just showed up at my door. I don't mind paying a little more for true conveinence(sp), and very knowledgable tech people.

Hope that helps and I didn't ramble on to long!!!

More pictures to come, thanks for the interest and the kind words!!!!

This one shows the under side of the hood. They painted a textured black in between the supports. Looks really nice, I like it better than being all one color.
