Question Wanted - '72 Blazer CST 4x4 w A/C

Hello Everyone! I got to say this is an awesome website! I wish I had found this when I was building my '58! I am new to the "community" and am looking for a '72 Blazer CST 4x4 with A/C, PS, PB, Tilt preferably on the West coast!

Here is my story! I have lived in So Cal on and off for the last 15 years. During this time I built and slamd a 1958 fleetside pickup. It has been in several Mags and on a few covers. Unfortunately, I built the thing to nice to drive! I have moved back to where I grew up in Klamath Falls, Oregon and have made the decision to sell my '58 and I have convinced my wife that I am going to buy a 1972 Blazer....ya know...so I can take the kids with us whenever we go places. It got kinda tight with 4 people in the '58.

Anyway, anyone interested in the '58 give me a call, But what I am really looking for in this post is to see if you guys are aware of some really nice '72's to buy. I want something that is restored "right", preferably with no more than 6" lift and am willing to pay up to $20,000 for the right Blazer.

Am I setting my sights to high by trying to get a restored nice truck for $20k?

To see the '58 click here:

You can get a nice one for 20k, just do your research. I have seen a couple really nice ones go on the board for less than that.
Good luck, and welcome to the board

Welcome to the board. $20K should get you a nice truck. There was a very nice 72 CST forsale in K-Falls this summer. I think it was going for around $12K. Someone else had one in Eugene that had a blown small block for around $25K. I think he was a friend of board member cheyenne10.

My parents are in Coos Bay, so I'll have them keep an eye open around there too.

Diane sold hers. She also didn't have AC or disk brakes up front.

Thank you all for the reply's. I like the blue blazer in Eugene but am somewhat concerned of the reliability and off road ability of a blown engine. I am not familiar with Blown engines other than they sound Awesome. Any insight from the group?

I also forgot to add that I want an automatic trans. I know....I know...picky..picky.

I also included a link to my website for the '58 on my original post. Was anyone able to pull it up and look at it?

Thanks again guys!

ooops forgot one other thing. If I find one without A/C but everything else, how hard is it to come by the parts and any idea of how much it would cost to add it?

thanks

You can get complete AC systems for around $900. They even make some that fit under the dash.

Bouncy

Is that system OEM? or is it an aftermarket unit like Vintage Air? Is there somewhere that I can look/research the units?

do you recall or can you find the Blazer from K-Falls?

thanks for the help

The Blazer that was in K-falls was on http://www.collectorcartraderonline.com/. It was the pale yellow color (like board member bobbyk has). I'm guessing it sold.

Here is a nice one in Tacoma (sans A/C). It looks like it is at a dealer so the price is probably inflated and you won't get much history from them. http://www.dealsonwheels.com/search/...-200411-000002

Sign up for some of the Catalogs to see what parts/accessories are available.

Does anyone know anything about the blazer that Bouncy gave me a link to at the dealer Dealsonwheels. It is Turquiose and white and I think the dealer is in Tacoma. Anyone near Tacoma that might have some free time to run by and check it out?

Its a sad...sad.. day

Well Everyone....today was one of those I will remember and probably regret . I sold my '58 Pickup! Now I actually have the cash in hand to buy a Blazer. I need to get something quick before the money finds other uses (aka...wife). I have found the really really nice Blue one in Eugene Or. However, I think 30K is a little much! Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated
thanks for the help so far guys. keep the suggestions coming.
