a little progress!!

ive got the bags and the 1/2 ton conversion on the front. damn laying control arms/support arm bolts feels good. the only thing that sucks is the tranny took a sh#! so i cant drive it. i got a good deal on two compressors. two viair 380c's for $200. and all i need is a tank to hit some DAMN switches!!!!

btw the third pic is exactly how i got this truck

What are the support braces for, on the front crossmember? Get some ECE "lowered" sway bar brackets,... and put the bar back on. I think you will like the ride better. Keep us posted!

That must be because it's a one ton. I have never seen those before. Yeah theEarly Classic Enterprises sway bar brackets work great. You can also mount the sway direct to the frame if you remove the stock stands....

as soon as i get the tranny in it. im going to pull the tranny for it out of a friends el camino next weekend, then ill put it in and start cutting.

i think they are there for extra strength because its a one ton. i am still waiting on the bushing for the sway bar.

Why the half ton front end it sorta defeats the pupose of a dually don't you think?

little progress

are you going to make it a short bed. i did on my 87 20 series 3/4 ton. you will have to change the leaf spring hangers to 1/2 ton also. if you have any questions give me a shout, and ill tell tou how i shortened my frame. 87 1/2 ton crewcab
