STC Top With Dark Or Light Tint

Hey K5ers, any recommendations on dark tint VS light tint windows for STC soft top? Any issues or advantages with either one?

Thanks!

I went with the light windows. I don't have tint on the front windows of my truck and I don't like the look of tint in back but not in front. I also got a white top. I think the tint would look better with a black top.

DANL, ANOTHER THING TO CONSIDER IS YOUR CLOSE TO GERMANTOWN,
IF THE TINTED FOR THE STC TOP IS LESS THAN 35%, SAY LIKE A 20%
TINT, YOU ARE GONNA HAVE TICKET TROUBLES MY FRIEND, REMEMBER
TN. LAW DARKEST IS 35%, ALTHOUGH I'VE NEVER REALLY FOLLOWED IT

Thanks Again

Hey Guys, thanks for the input.

Bouncy, I agree with you on both points. Dark tint would look better with black top and dark tint front glass. Luv, I never considered the tint law. I do not have any experience with the GPD but I understand they do enforce their laws.

Thanks again.

Law here is nothing more than 35% in front of the shoulder (basically nothing more than stock.) I don't see how they can have laws on the rear windows when there are vans and panels out there with steel where rear windows go - that's some serious tint!

Funny, I just got a ticket for illegal tint in my daily driver honda. I have 15% all around. When I do the blazer I want to do 5% in back and 35% in front, just to be legal.
