now im pissed.......all i had was them female connectors with plastic over them so i took a razer and was cutting it off and sliced 2 of my fingers real bad....then i took the torch and burned the plastic off and the dam thing still wont fit....i think someone should take pity on me for being so stupid and send me a plug lol note the bandaged razor sliced finger lol......

I did just as cableguy0 says. Works fine. I even have the special kind with the extra prong on it. That way if I ever find the plastic clip that's supposed to go on it, I can just snap it in and be fancy.

because its thin and wide enough for the connector to hold all the stock connector is is a spade connector surrounded in plastic

you can get the connector at a hardware store, stereo shop, auto parts store, disney land, flea market, hell you might actually have one laying around somewhere.

I think you'll find someone in in San Fran to take pity on your stupidity and sue the razor company for not putting a warning on the blade that the razor is sharp and can cut you if not handled properly........how where you suppse to know it was sharp enough to cut your skin..................

I also used a female push on connector, and it worked fine. If you have to spread the connector slightly with a small screw driver, and test fit it before crimping it onto the wire.

on another note......at least the scar will be perfectly defined and perfectly straight....brand new razor blade pushing into plastic then slipping doesnt like hands very much.

NAPA has the connector you are looking for, but probably not the connector body. It is a GM 56 series (Packard 56 series) female. Mad electric also sells them, and sometime even the local parts stores might have them. The connector body is another story. You need the one with the slot in it so it slides down over the button.

Well if worse comes to worse you can go to the salvage yard,and cut one off a donor and then use a butt connector and splice it onto your wire,and plug it in.

Or wrap the wire around the sender,and duct tape it :P

I forgot about that setup 1-PU70 is referring to. That is a sweet setup. You get the correct color wire, connector and housing, and the original style heat sleeve. It was in a post a few days ago also, may have been 1-PU70 then also.

Strip the wire bare and tack weld that sucker on.

here's a novel idea. Go to the junkyard and find one on an older car or truck and cut about six inches of wire off with it and then splice it into the wire on your vehicle. Then drink three beers and the fingers won't hurt so bad.
Remember, it goes on the end of the sender at a 90 degree angle not straight on.
Most horns have a spade connector on the wire with the plastic cover. Not the same but it should work,
