73 International bucket seats

Ran across a 73 international pickup that has the seats in it that are very similar to the 67-68 buckets with the center flip down armrest/storage box. Does anyone know if they are the same?

Thanks,

Randy

Can't say for sure but I do know those seats were manufactured for GM by an independent company. I know they made their way into Dodges, probably other trucks too. The neat thing about them is that the seat is universal, only the tubular frame need be specific to the application. I wouldn't be surprised if those seats are the same, but the frame won't work.

I thought the frame looked about the same, but really don't have any to compare to. Attached is a photo. Maybe somebody can tell from this as to whether they will fit.

The center console hinges make me think of Rod and his search for Suburban center brackets. Most Internationals that I see with buckets(used to see at least) were suburban type wagons. Wouldn't be a bit surprised if those were interchangable with the extremely rare Burb center console at least. The entire framework may be adaptable to these trucks - can't tell how it mounts to the floor. CPNE is correct about Dodge seats. Most of mine have come from late60/early70 Dodge P/Us. I have been fortunate enough to find Chevy frames. I personally like the Dodge upholstery pattern better than the GM.

Congrats on your find. Don't pass it up.

Good luck - Bob

Here is the only other pic that shows a little bit of the passengers side mount. I don't really have a use for them so if someone is interested in them, let me know and I'll try to get them.

The frame looks like its not high enough off the floor.

The center is not like asub center seat in the pics posted.

Here are what someone someday ago posted as 67-68 frames... these look correct to me.

I have compared all three and they are "similar", but not the same. The cushions are all slightly different, as are the floor brackets. They are still pretty nice seats and "period" correct.
