What do I need to drop in a 700r4 and NP208 into 70 K5? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have an 88 K5 and I am going to drop the trans and tranfer into my 70 K5. What crossmember can I use. The original 70 crossmember is gone, but I have the one from the 88 K5. Will this line up or should I find a 4x4 crossmember form a 69-72 K5? Has anyone done this swap before? Let me know what you used and if you have pics, that would be great!!
