wtb: Factory yellow short fleet bed

I am looking for a very clean 1968 - 72 short fleet bed with metal floor. I need to find a grapefruit yellow [not ochre] bed or clean bedsides with lower or no mouldings only if possible. Can not have gas doors cut into it. Will pay fair price. Prefer west coast location, depends on how nice it is. Thanks
Bill

A Red Or Green Or Black One Won't Do?? Sorry... Just Sounded Extreemly Silly To Me. Nice Swb Fleet Beds Are Not All That Common To Come Across. You May Want To Consider Painting It The Color Of Your Choice. John

Hey John, he's looking what he's looking for

No need to be critical.

Besides, saves the black, green or red ones for me...

I was thinking the same as Junkyard John."Would that be black or woodgrain lower trim?"I know an old guy that put an ad in the paper for 100 year or older locust split-rail stacked fencing and got it.So....more power to ya!But sorry,I`m fresh out of Grapefruit beds.J/K

Re: wtb: Factory yellow short fleet bed

No harm in asking. I have several of these already in other colors. Being a automotive painter by trade, I can tell you that it is a lot nicer to start out with the same color if possible. It would allow me to finish this truck, drive it awhile and work out the bugs before taking it back apart to paint. It kind of looks odd to have a blue bed on my yellow truck. AS long as it takes me to get to my own stuff, it could be awhile.

I hear ya.Just having fun here.I can only wish I lived in California or somewhere that I could pick and choose like you.Call it envy,I guess. But,still,I would be willing to pay better than "fair" price to find exactly what I was looking for since it is so narrowed down.I personally love the unrestored, still solid look. So,I know where you are coming from, good luck...

The only color I worry about when dealin in metal parts is RUST. If I had one you`d have it. Good luck
