1 piece windows

Has any one used the Brothers 1 piece window kit? And did they have to pay THAT price?

Re: 1 piece windows

You should ask Mocwan or however you spell it... He has a very nice truck with the one piece... and i think the better question is... How bad do i want a custom look of One Piece Windows?

Re: 1 piece windows

try board vendors, I beleive they sell the same kit at a lower price, maybe Wes at classicheartbeat or Ed at mothertruckers.

Re: 1 piece windows

longnlow72,
I got mine from Brothers! I love them. I opted for the lightly tinted one piece glasses. The kit installs relatively easy. They have the install instructions on their website, to give you an idea of the level of difficulty. I love the look of them as well. I originally chose the standard kit, but have since added the power kit to them. They seal up nicely! No rattles or air leaks. Give Dale, Kyle, or John a call at Brothers. They run specials on the kit from time to time.

Yeah, I have had some bad experiences with other places that I have bought parts from many years ago. Brothers has knowledgible people that actually own these type trucks. They have always been free flowing with ways to help me save time or frustration. And speaking of experiences, if you see something somewhere else that you like but do not see it in there catalog... Chances are they carry that piece also. I have to remind myself that they only print their catalog once a year. Also, I like the extra steps they go to like, not minding drop shipping to my bodyshop or engine builder while I am working out on the road! I do not have to worry about my wife straining to get packages in the house. Can't say enough about the gang at Brothers. Plus, they are board members!

Re: 1 piece windows

Not bad putting the kit in. If you are doing a restoration and you have a '72 you'll want to weld up the screw hole for the window divider on the inside of the door face. On all models, weld up the holes on the front edge of the window frame and the "notch" that is left in the top of the door where the divider chrome piece was on the regular glass. Brother's puts these on sale from time to time so if you're not in a hurry, wait for the sale.

Re: 1 piece windows

Meathead I do not think they will work on a blazer the window is not real secure midway down and I am guessing that with no window frame in the back the glass would fall in your lap...
