Pickup pulling is a blast!!!

Took the truck to Mason city NE this weekend, F I L talked me into entering it into the tractor pull again this year, and wooo hoooo.....took 2nd place in 4x4 for the 2nd year in a row!!!!!

I had 1st place, but I gave it away because I thought my second pull would be better in a different spot in the track......my bad!!!lol

took 3rd in 2 wheel pulling......8 trucks in each group.....mine was the only 67-72 chevy......but I did beat out a 70 F@$d !!!!!! I don't have any pics because I didn't plan on pulling this weekend, so I didn't take the digicam with.....whoops!!

my buddy's daughter got some pics, i'll have to try to get them, and then get my sister to scan them for me, then i can put them on a disk and upload them....TJ, it was a percentage pull, not for distance, My truck weight was 4,120, the first pull I pulled 5,000, the second time I pulled 4000 and had to take that pull ( I was hoping for a better spot in the track.....yes, I'm a dumb@$$

I was pretty impressed due to the fact the truck that beat me had a nearly new 460, 4spd and shorter gear ratio than me.....and he only beat me out by 1%......yeah buddy....even worn out 350's and 3.08 gears can take a fresh F@#d!!!!!, along with a 89 Dodge with a cummins, a 87 K-20, a 69 F@#d, a couple other Chevys, and sommore fords!!!!! I was pretty darned happy when the day was over......I'd have been alot happier if I'd taken my first pull instead of trying to better it.....but I got twice the fun for 1 price that way.

the thing I love about the pull at Mason City is the trophys are anatomically correct, with a pretty little 70 or so Chevy truck at the top....where it belongs!!!
