Question Could a CST Blazer have come with houndstooth seat covers from the factory?

Could a CST Blazer have come with houndstooth seat covers from the factory? I have the scroll pattern and was wondering if houndstooth in CST would be correct too. You can't beat the feeling of cloth seat covers. Leather and vinyl are the pits. Hot in the summer and cold in the winter.

Yes, I believe some Blazers were built with the houndstooth seats. I have seen pictures on here before. I love my vinyl seats, wouldn't trade them for anything. A little water doesn't hurt them, and they are so easy to keep clean, especially with a dog. They do get scalding hot in the summer, but you just have to cover them up when you let the truck sit in the sun.

I`ve never been sure.But,the`72s could come as a Highland with the plaid,so...
And,that package came on CustomDeluxes and we know there were no CustomDeluxe Blazers, same as no CheyenneSuper Blazers.I`d like to know the right answer, too.

So, what were the options for seating for the 72 Blazer as well as the Blazer CST?

I believe the Highlander option is the only way they came without the standard vinyl. Hatguy has highlander seats.

I don't know a specific answer but I would say You could probably get the seats. Because everyone thinks that scroll pattern or utility buckets were the only seating options. I have owned 2 blazers that came with buckets that came with an all black seat cover that had a mesh looking inset. I think frank or somebody had shown a pic of one. most people had never seen one.

Not sure if these are what you are looking for, but I just picked them up a couple days ago. I think they were from a truck though-not sure. 1st pic is of the seats and the 2nd is a close up of the pattern.

Re: Could a CST Blazer have come with houndstooth seat covers from the factory?

Those aren`t even K/5 seats and they`re recovered in non-original fabric. But,they "are" nice.
Blazers came up front with one or two "Utility" seats/no console...Standard buckets that were vinyl simular to standard bench pattern/same seat(not cover)as CSTs...CST buckets/same seat as standard in walrus hide vinyl & scrolls...Highlander buckets,Same as other two buckets w/Scotch plaid inserts in four different colors according to paint color. All Highlander interiors were Parchment vinyl and`72-only.Then,there`s the milk crate, the 5 gallon bucket,.....

Those seats look really nice. Nice find.

Brothers indicates the Cheyenne & CST seat covers were the scroll pattern. While Brothers states the "Houndstooth" seat covers were found in trucks that came with deluxe or "Super" seats. You can get either cover, so I'm under the impression that they were offered. The seat covers are the same price.

Bench seat covers.

Brothers offers a houndstooth bucker seat covers, but they do not have the correct image on their website. Fabric seats would be nice... but I'm not sure to if having them in a CST would be correct.

If you really want to post some pic, go ahead. I don't NEED to see them, but thanks for asking though. You I was just wondering what seats were correct for the 72 Blazer. I really like cloth since they're so comfy compared to vinyl.

Read post#9,your question is answered. They can make anything they want in reproduction, has nothing to do with original availability.Trucks came with the same buckets. That Brothers info is refering to trucks. There were CST trucks from 67-70,you know.Like it states,Cheyennes and CSTs came with scroll-pattern vinyl.Cheyenne Supers are the only trucks,K/5,or Suburban that came with houndstooth and only in certain colors.Only 71/72 CheyenneSupers had houndstooth and all of them had it.CheyenneSupers were 71/72 only.
