Couldn't resist - a progress pic, finally!

Did this last month, then had 4 weeks of back to back biz trips and couldn't keep going on the truck. Had to get all those nasty paint fumes outa my lungs, anyhow. Whole cab is primed, firewall is SS, exterior will be BC/CC

All this with 6 bolts! Just seeing if everything still fits! No the rad support is _not_ pink! That's the color the red 2K urethane primer turns to after wet sanding.

Can anyone guess what I'm planning to do with these pieces???

Hint: The PO hacked a large hole where the radio used to be.

HIGH72 - Thanks, The primer is tinted red, don't know if it has a name. I didn't really have a specific color in mind for the top coat, like Flame Red or Hot Wheels Red, so I just spent about 2 hours with the 500+ red metallic paint chips and picked the one that I liked.

kxmotox247 - I'm workin' with a 'real' camera, no digital yet, so it'll be a few days before I finish this roll, get it developed/CD'd and posted here. 2 gauges and 3 switches in the radio hole, just finished grinding the 100+ tack welds and breaking out the body filler.

jay-dawg - AirLift Easy Street, the whole system. I was lazy/impatient and did not feel that I could do all my own custom metal fab like some of the other members. Now that I got the system in, I'm looking at it and say - "Heck, I _could_ do that." - But I already spent the $$$$.
BTW: I didn't want the screaming electric compressors, the engine driven air system was too much $$$, so I've got a 80# bottle of nitrogen to supply air to the 4 port (6 gal) tank through 1/2" lines to 3/8" valves/bags. All the pieces are in a box, just waiting to be tied together, but I won't be done with the bed for another month or two. That, and a set of 20s, and I'll be ready to roll....
