Question 67-72 and 73-87 Suspension

I am wanting to put a lift on my 69 K10 and I found a cheap lift for a 73-87 Chevy and my question is will it fit,is the suspension the same?My rear springs are no good and I will need the springs off it to,will they work?

Re: 67-72 and 73-87 Suspension

The fronts won't work, yours is 45-46" or something, and the newer style is 48". You can move the mounts to get them to work, but I never messed with a 67-72 truck, so don't know anything aboot them. The rears I think will work, IIRC they are 52s. Make sure whatever kit your getting has 52s. Might want to measure yours to be on the safe side.

Recurve the springs to fit the shackels and it gives you additional lift.

Re: 67-72 and 73-87 Suspension

and the worst ride evar!!!!!!

the 60-72 springs are 44" the newer 73+ stuff is 48" long, the 60-66 springs are slightly narrower and usea no lip bushing, the 67-92 stuff the springs all use the same bushings.

dont buy the 3 layer ezride tough countries, they are soft and flexy but settle 1.5-2" and bend into a W real fast.
