What do i fill it with???

the retard before me put a hole in the ceiling of my truck for an antenna instead of putting it where it should go so now im putting one in my cowl but what do i fill the hole in the roof with? my dad suggested a rubber plug with silicone around it which sounds like a good idea but i can't find a rubber plug, i've looked at 4 different stores

cut your self a patch and either weld it up, or take it to a body shop and let them do it......

Sure! measure the diameter of the hole, cut out a patch the same size, check to make sure it fits, use a magnet to hold it while you tack weld it in place, then finish the job slowly to avoid warpage, grind smooth, sand, primer.........

Then you'll have to commit bondo-cide on your roof.

You can wish in one hand and crap in the other.
See which one gets filled first.

rubber plug

Rubber plug would be a VERY temporary fix. At least you'll keep the rain out. A good body man wil fix it and you'll never see it. Worth the $$ the avoid the rust later.
Is the hole through inside sheet metal as well?
(For you comedians, the cab 2 ply in places for lack of a better term)

Bring it over to my shop and I'll weld it,primer it and paint it for free if you bring the girls with you, it might take a couple of weeks to cut the patch and weld it in then grind it down then primer then sand then primer then paint then buff. But the girls are welcome to stay and help me while you go to Daytona to check it for more girls. Just trying to help

All the good suggestions are already taken so I can only suggest you plug it with your thumb

Depending on how soon you want it done, I could bring the welder down there... but... haven't practiced any yet, and I'd hate to weld on that truck this week since I haven't welded anything for 15 years... unless you like being a guinea pig?

Too bad he don't know the chick in the picture.. Guess he won't be bringing her along huh?
Herte's an idea...who cares if it isn't right, try leaving it alone undill you can afford to get it done right. It's better than a siliconed butt blug in your roof.

Since you don't have the time to do it right, why not just put the antenna back....hehe.

Try a strong magnet until the time comes that you do have the time to get her fixed right, silicone gases and will later lead to greater damage caused from it out gassing and forming rust under and around it. Ed come on now your married leave that BODY work you want to do to the single guys on the board.
