Mounting NP205 on frame

I was looking at the frame on my 1971 SWB K10 and it had a bracket on the passenger side frame that looked like the transfer case bolted too.It looks like the one on my 69 K10 that the Rockwell T 221 mounts to.Does the np205 mount there too?If anyone had any pics of a np205 bolted to the frame with pics of where all it bolts to I would really appreciate it.

Thanks,
Dustin

Re: Mounting NP205 on frame

Here is my 205 "Torque Bracket"

You can see it inbetween the two x-member brackets.
That was the best photo I could find....

Re: Mounting NP205 on frame

It is my understanding that they are the same bracket and mounting location.

Re: Mounting NP205 on frame

Thanks for the replies and pics so far.I just went out and inspected the frame and it looks like there should be a bracket on the drivers side frame to mount the transfer case to the frame also.Anyone confirm this?If it does mount there too I guess I will be looking for the bracket for that side because it isnt there.Words of advice...Dont buy a truck without the motor, transmission,or transfer case because finding replacements is a P.I.T.A.

No, it was put on a rotisserie, blasted and "Chassis Saver" sprayed on by someone with far more talent with a gun than I have.....

Re: Mounting NP205 on frame

brackets from a 87 suburban 465/205 and 67 465/rockwell look the same but bolt spacing and alignment are different.

Looks like I will have to go take a look at the parts pile so I stop spreading misinformation!

Re: Mounting NP205 on frame

The bolts are 5/8'' coarse thread, about 1 1/4'' long
