My lap belts need to be replaced. I would rather put shoulder belts in. ECE sells a set for around $250. Are there belts in other vehicles that will work? I have a set of Regency Conversion buckets that will be going in the truck if that makes a diff.

For less than $250 you can get the GM bucket seats with the integrated shoulder belt.

Yes and for your 250 bucks you can be comfortably ejected from your truck nicely buckled into your seat as both you and it are launched out the windshield. I have posted many times on the topic of integrated belt seats but it seldom seams to sink in. The floors of these trucks were never meant to handle the kinds of forces involved with integral belt seats. Heck the bench seat trucks floors aren't designed to handle bucket seats. Actual bucket seat cabs have extra reinforcement.

I have however seen that a few people here have gotten the message and have made efforts to beef up the floors when istalling these seats. The factory seat belt anchor points in a non rust compromised cab are plenty adequate to handle regular 3 point belts. In reality an integral belt seat without proper attention to mounting is far less safe than the the factory 2 point belts. At least they will keep you in the truck.

If considering the above mentioned idea of integral belt seats consider some significant floor reinforcing.

For reference I am an engineering technologist and design seat and seat belt anchorages as a part of my job.

My truck has a seat out of a 95 chevy. So I like the idea of using s 10 belts.Any other ideas out there.

Go to ebay and type in retractable seat belts. I have bought several sets of 2 point style lap belts and love them. You will find both styles. They run about $50.

I bought a retro-fit kit for my 71 last year. I came across the company's ad in the back of a magazine, probably Custom Classic Truck. Unfortunatley I can't remember the comapny name, possibly Buckle-Up.
It's a nice kit, no drilling, uses the original mounting poits, lots of factory colors, and they have the sleeves for bucket seats.
