I am looking at buying a 5.3 liter 2005 engine for my '67 chevy truck, but I want to put a twin turbo set-up on it.. does anyone know if the bottom end can handle that much HP? about 500HP.
does it have forged internals?

any info regarding this would be great! has anyone put superchargers or turbos on these engines with safe results??

I made 504/475 on 9 psi with a small cam on my stock 5.3L Ran it for 53K before I retired the truck to work duty.

you can pick up a 6.0l for the same price as the 5.3l and make alot more boost. you should maybe thinlk about that. alot of info about that at

check out performancetrucks.net and chevytruckworld.com.... lots of people running turbo/ supercharger applications on stock trucks. ive got a 6.0l in my 03 chevy 1500hd and its a really strong engine on a custom tune.
