Thumbs up New to the Forum, New 66 Fleetside owner.

Hi to you all, Being a new owner of a 66 Fleetside, I decided to check out the web for Info on Chevy trucks and came across your fantastic site. Living in England and owning an American vehicle can be difficult at times especially if you need to find out some information, pictures and advice on spares etc. Just by reading some of the threads and looking at the great photographs of your trucks, I feel there is a lot to gain from this site. All the best, Phil.

Re: New to the Forum, New 66 Fleetside owner.

Yes they are a little bit big for the roads over here, but most people tend to get out of your way! There is quite a large U.S. car and truck scene in England. This is my 3rd vehicle, and it came from California last year. Its a 283ci V8, 4 speed floor manual.. With petrol at $9 a gallon its for sunny days only. Phil

Welcome from the southwest corner of the US, SoCal. Where in the south of England are you? I spent some time over there in the early '90's. By the way, you do realize your steering wheel is on the wrong side of the truck...

I live in Plymouth, Devon, Its in the Southwest corner of England. Close to the nice beaches in Cornwall. Not a great truck scene down here. Most of the clubs and shows are near London or up North. Not many 60/66 Chevys around here. I went to a show near London 3 weeks ago and only saw 4 others there out of a thousand or so vehicles. 50's trucks seem to be more popular. Can't understand that, Ive always had a soft spot for the 60's trucks. Getting parts here isn't really a problem, what with the internet, you can get most things shipped here.May take a few days to get here though.Phil.
