deep pan clearance th350

hey guys, quick question. i want to order a 3" pan for my th350 on my 69. I was looking underneath my truck and it looks as if it will not clear the lip on the tranny crossmember. Even if it does it looks like an extremely tight fit. Just wanna know if im in over my head. Thanks guys.

Re: deep pan clearance th350

if it doesnt clear you've got at least 3different options that i can think of
! notch the pan
2trim the crossmember
3reposition the crossmember and tranny mount

Re: deep pan clearance th350

I tried the deep TCI aluminum pan and it wouldn't work without trimming or repositioning x-member. I wound up selling it.
